Our Great Exodus

So it really happened!  I never thought or believed the day would come when we could move back to California.  I thought I was doomed for a life in Utah.  I am so grateful for Aaron and his hard work so that we can move our family to the best place on earth!

My Rheumatoid Arthritis was really acting up getting everything ready for the big moving day.  Packing and picking up boxes was causing lots of pain!  Fortunately a couple sessions of acupuncture and a wonderful friend saved the day.  Colleen came and helped me on the day we packed the truck.  She helped clean, when  my elbow grease wasn't strong enough and carried boxes that I couldn't lift either from having T-rex arms or the pain.  I am so grateful for her and her friendship.  Truly the only thing I  miss about Utah are the wonderful people and relationships we have.

Getting all of our stuff into as little space as possible was the goal.

Since we were going to put the truck in storage for a month or so we had to pack the van and truck with all the things we would need for the next month.  It made for a tight ride.

Leaving Cache Valley!  The beautiful Wellsville Mountains.  Aaron messaged me on the walkie talkie asking if I was sad we were leaving.  I told him that if it were fall in Cache Valley I might have a harder time but since it was already super hot outside and I was sick of sweating all the time I am happy to leave!

Oops we only made it to the Nevada state line before trouble set in.

We were asked to speak at church a few weeks after we got there.  I am including Aaron's talk since he re-told our story of our move.

This is where Maximus hung out while we were waiting on the truck.  While driving he sat on top of the pile of stuff on the passenger seat next me.  He really had no where else to go.

Paige turned out to be a great buddy for Aaron.  Never a quiet moment unless she was asleep but then the windows were rolled down to help cool off.  She loved riding in the truck with dad.
