Jack

We decided to not send Jack to kindergarten this year.  I am so glad that we didn't!!!!  I have loved having him home for another year.  After all he is still a kid and will be in school for a long time so why rush into it?  I do believe that come next fall he is going to be soooo ready and will enjoy kindergarten so much!

I didn't want Jack to have nothing extra to look forward to, so we enrolled him in a little theater class and in a ceramics class.  I do believe that we may have found Jack's thing!  He LOVED both classes.  However theater class was more favorite, both are favorites but theater is just more favorite.  Ha!

Both have ended.  I think that we will be enrolling him in again after the new year.  Here are some pictures of his ceramic masterpieces.  These are just from the first 5 weeks.  We still need to pick up his projects from the second 5 weeks.  Jack's ceramics teacher, Beth, always had nice things to say about Jack when I would pick him up.  Beth told me that he has such a great imagination and is so creative.  She just loved all of his work.  What a great teacher he had!  Beth was really great with the kids and really let them just create what they wanted while teaching them some techniques.

My cute Jack with his ceramic pieces.

I don't think Jack actually made this mug.  I think the mug was made for him and he was able to use stamps in the clay.  Or if he made it, he had some help.

We're Off To See The Wizard!!!!

This year the kids were characters from the Wizard of Oz!  Jack was the Scarecrow, Paige was Dorothy and Ginger was the Lion.

Here's our little cowardly lion.  She was so cute and this costume that my mom found kept her nice and toasty.

The whole reason we went with the Wizard of Oz theme was because we already this scarecrow costume.  I am pretty sure that my mom made this for me to wear one when I was in 1st or 2nd grade.

My mom made Paige's Dorothy dress and she looked so cute.

Making leaf angels!

The kids sure made out well this year trick or treating.  Geez that is a lot of candy!!!!  It was such a nice night this year.  The kids didn't have to wear snow coats over their costumes.

My Table

For my birthday I wanted the kitchen table to be re-done.  So I got the fabric to cover the chairs that I liked the best.  It took me a while to decide too.  I finally found it from an etsy store (The Lacey Placey) and I ended buying all that she had left.

Once I had the fabric I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to paint it or stain it.  Then there was the decision of what color of paint or what color of stain.

I decided to just get it sanded and think about colors while I was sanding.  Well it got pretty hot pretty fast and being pregnant I didn't get the sanding done before Ginger arrived.  Aaron and I pushed to get the table and chairs done before we had family come out for Ginger's blessing.  We tried staining it a really pretty black/brown.  I really really liked it.  However I don't have patience or something when it comes to stain and I couldn't get it even across the top.  It looked weird.  So we decided to paint it.  Then we decided to paint the chairs different than the table.

I L.O.V.E. how it turned out.  It makes the kitchen area happy and in turn makes me happy.

I have to add that Aaron is A-Mazing!!!!  He painted all of the chairs and the table and he re-covered all of the chairs.  He even put plastic over the fabric so that it would stay nicer longer.  He is awesome and I am one very lucky girl!

Ginger 2 months

WARNING!!!!  LOTS OF PICTURES AHEAD!!!

At the beginning of the month Ginger turned 2 months old and had her well baby check up.  She was a whooping 9 pounds 12 ounces.  Still in the 25th percentile for weight, the doctor did say that her weight gain was average.  She is growing and developing on track and is a healthy baby.  We work hard to make sure that she chooses her left and her right.  We dealt with a flat head with Jack and don't want to do that again.  The doctor confirmed that her head shape is looking good.

Ginger at 2 months:

She is so good at holding her head up.  She actually like tummy time!

This little girl spits up a lot, well at least more than Jack or Paige ever did.  Apparently she is still in the normal amount of spit up.  So I had to include a picture with some spit up bubbles.

When I look at these pictures I just want to reach into the screen and kiss those cute chubby cheeks.

Ginger likes to stand.  Also I wanted to get a good shot of this cute onesie my mom got her.  She has some pretty strong little legs.

On October 2nd Aaron blessed Ginger.  It was such a crazy weekend that I didn't take any pictures.  It ended up being General Conference weekend and so we just blessed her before the first session on Sunday morning.  We decided to have her blessed that weekend because all of my family was able to come that weekend or already going to be in Utah.  My brother Matt, who lives in California was going with Young Men from his ward to go to the first session on Saturday.  My brother Cameron, who lives in New Mexico decided to go with some friends to their mission reunions.  My parents were able to come out as well.  So it just worked.  My grandma even came up from Salt Lake area.  We also had some family friends join us for the blessing.  It was a nice group and we are so blessed to have so much love and support.

We have a family blessing blanket.  All of the kids names and blessing dates are embroidered on this fluffy white blanket.

I almost caught her smile.  She has a fabulous smile and it makes waking up in the middle of night all worth it.
