My new blog

I decided to have another blog devoted solely to scrapbooking. I am going to be posting ideas, tips, techniques and other information pertaining to scrapbooking.
Here is the link: http://stampnscrapmemories.blogspot.com
I will also have a monthly challenge that will hopefully have a small prize to the winner. Since I am still building the site there is not much there yet but check back in a few days. I am excited about this new blog!

I love Ikea!!!

Aaron and I had a garage sale yesterday and it was a huge success. I didn't even have a chance to put up signs. There were people constantly coming from 7 until about 11. We were able to sell everything that we wanted to sell and we only took a small load to D.I. Later in the afternoon we drove to Ikea to get a new kitchen table. We took our old table to D.I. (we bought it from the D.I. 5 years ago for $20 and I am curious to see how much they re-sell it for!) I love Ikea! That is the coolest store. I had never been to one before. We also got Jack a little table. It was so much fun walking around. It's a good thing that Ikea is not closer because I would probably spend more money than is necessary. Here are some pictures of our new tables!

We Are The Dinosuars

Jack loves to listen and watch Laurie Berkner. She sings some silly songs and recently we bought her DVD for Jack and he loves to dance around to each of the songs as well as listen to them in the car because oh yes it came with a bonus music CD! We are the dinosaurs is probably his favorite. Aaron was singing the song while Jack was performing in this video, however I added the actual song sung by Laurie Berkner for your benefit. And of course now that he has seen me working on editing his video he prefers to watch himself! I love that he is wearing my pink ugg boots!

Baby Animal Days

The Family at Baby Animal Days

Jack and James playing on the logs

We went to baby animal days at the American West Heritage Center this past weekend. Since the weather was not super nice yet, there were not a lot of people there. We meet up with the Davis Family. Jack and James (Davis' oldest boy) were having fun running around and being silly. They enjoyed playing on the logs. Jack loved all of the animals he was so excited every time he and Aaron walked into a new pen. He loved that he got to hold and touch them. He liked it more when Aaron held the animal and then Jack would come and pet it. I am pretty sure he tried to kiss all of the animals. Whenever he saw an animal he would shout out what it is called and then make noise that particular animal makes. So he would shout cow and then say moo. It was pretty cute how excited he was. Paige did good, she slept the whole time while in the snugglie. We had a great time.

It's Snowing!

Paige has had dry skin on her scalp. So the other day I took a brush to brush it out and as a I brushed her hair more skin flaked off. It looked like her head had gotten sun burned and it was now peeling. Well Jack comes over and points to her head and exclaims "SNOW!" I laughed and said yes it does look like snow doesn't it. Unfortunately that is not the only snow we have had here. It snowed yesterday as well as rained and I think I saw hail at one point. I sure hope that is the last of the snow until next winter.

Do you think Anne Geddes will give me a job?

So I was trying to do Paige's birth announcement pictures like Anne Geddes. I failed miserably. I wanted to capture how tiny Paige is/was. So here is attempt one. I think that she looks funny with her face all smooshed.

Here is attempt two. This is even worse! It just wasn't working. But I tried a few more times but gave up. Mostly because she was naked and Aaron's arms were starting to hurt.

So this is what I did instead. I was going to do my Anne Geddes version in black and white too with only color on the bow. So I guess Anne Geddes won't be calling me anytime soon!

And the winner is.....

NOT ME!!! I am so bummed. So some of you know that I try and do the Nike Women's Marathon every year in San Francisco with my mom and sister. Well this event has become very popular and so they made registration a little different this year. They had a lottery and so you could register for the lottery and on April 1st 20,000 names (out of 30,000) would be randomly selected by a computer. If your name is selected then you can pay the entry fee and participate in the event. I did not get selected, and neither did my sister. My mom didn't get selected but since she has done the race every year since they started having this event, she is called a legacy runner and she automatically got in. So I am hoping we can still figure out a way for my sister and I to get in. I was really looking forward to going to S.F. for the weekend because this year I would not be pregnant or nursing and so I could leave the kids at home with Aaron and just have a girls' weekend.
I still want to do a marathon, and so I might do the Top of Utah, if anyone is interested.
