4th of July Parade

This year for the 4th of July we headed to California.  Of course since we were going to be in town we were in the Cayucos 4th of July parade with our friends the Saias.  This year we did a Footloose theme.  Mixing the old with the new.  They even built a 'mechanical' bull on the float.  Oh that was fun to ride.

The kids were SOOOO excited to be in the parade.  It was great motivation for them to behave good.  When we got to our float line-up spot and were waiting for the parade to start, Jack got really nervous.  I am not sure if he ever really loosened up.  Paige on the other hand was loving it!  The float behind us was the royal court for the fair and Paige that that was awesome!  Princesses!

Those two sure are cute.

If you know my mom then you are not surprised that she took a turn on the mechanical bull!

Our solo cup flag.  The rattling of the trailer on the road and the vibration of the music kept causing them to fall out!

My mom's good friend Barbara Saia.  They have known each other for 29 years!

Look mom!  No hands!  Natalie was part of the inspiration for the float this year.

Such a stud!

Thanks Natalie for capturing me and all my grace on the mechanical bull!

The rest of the family was watching the parade.  Here are the brave few who dared be in the parade this year!

Here are the pictures from Aaron's camera.  He and Ginger meet the rest of the family to watch us!
