Its a Crazy World

I don't know if crazy is the right word. After being in Albuquerque for a few weeks, Aaron soon realized that the prospects of getting a promotion was not going to happen (this is something that he was told upon accepting the job that had a good chance of happening in the first 3-6 months). Coupled with that fact and the work environment, which consists of sitting in a teeny tiny dark cubicle working with a supervisor who in my opinion is a bi-polar-psycho control freak, and not the ideal computer, Aaron started looking for another job. He has had a good amount of prospects but ultimately we have decided to head back to Logan! (I know crazy, right?) Aaron will go back to work for the PAD team at USU in his previous job title. Everything will be as it was. This decision, like the ones we have made thus far, didn't come easy. After a trip to the temple and lots of pondering and praying we feel that it is the right one. We really don't understand why moving the Albuquerque was a right decision and now moving back to Logan is the right decision. I think that we will never understand in this life time.

In order to save money and not have to kick our tenants out. Aaron will be back in the Logan the first part of June and the kids and I will stay here in Albuquerque until the end of Summer. Once we are all back in Logan as a family we will move back into our house. This part really excites me. We got it fixed up with fresh paint inside and out, new flooring for the majority of the house, a new gate and some minor landscaping. It will be nice to live in a place that we fixed up, plus we already know and love our neighbors and the ward. We are so happy that no offers were made on our house (maybe that was part of the plan) so that we can move back in.

We are also fortunate that Aaron has found a place to live for the summer, that is super cheap and nice. He will live with a couple of single LDS guys that he works with at USU. He will have his own room and know his new roommates! That is such a blessing. So just as everything seemed to work out to get us to Albuquerque, everything seems to be working out to get us back to Logan. It sure is a crazy world!

We are excited to be close (again) to all of our wonderfully awesome friends!

Father-Son "Urban" Camp Out

This past weekend was our ward's Father-Son Camp out. The end of last week Paige was really sick (I mean really sick, throwing up, ear infection, the whole bit). As a result Aaron and I did not get much sleep and so Aaron was worried that camping two hours away would be disastrous if something should happen, like Jack getting sick or not wanting to camp. So Aaron decided to pitch the tent in the backyard.

Jack helped Aaron put the tent up and then they brought out the bed mattresses, blankets and pillows. Then when it got dark we lite a fire in my parents out door fire pit. We roasted marshmallows or smarshmallows as Jack would say. It was a good night. Jack was so so so happy. Words can not express the amount of joy that little boy had. It was such a success that they camped in the backyard Saturday night too. It was such a good experience that when we told him that we had to put the tent away he was happy to help. I think that it is finally sinking in that good things happen to good little boys. There were no fits or tantrums. It was awesome. It could also be that he is getting closer to being three. Who knows, but I will take it!

(I took pictures, but the cable to get them off the camera is some where in our storage unit, which I would show you a picture of so you could get the idea of how packed it is, but then I run into the same problem of getting the picture off of my camera! Hopefully I can go dig through the mountain of our belongings and find that cable.)
