That was fun!

Friday night our ward had their Father/Son camp out. Aaron decided to take Jack but by Friday was second guessing that decision since Jack has been kind of naughty this last week. I convinced Aaron that he should take Jack and that he will be fine. Love it when I am right. Both Jack and Aaron had a great time. They just went up for a couple of hours and did not spend the night. When they got home I welcomed them at the door and as Jack was walking up the steps he says this "I had fun at the camp out!" So cute!

Then last night we went down to Ikea to get a computer desk, which we almost didn't do because both Jack and Paige are not feeling the greatest. Paige has a bad cold with cough, snot and all. Jack is teething and also has a runny nose (which may be a cold too but its hard to tell). It was a good thing that we decided to take the drive because they both slept the whole way down and since they were in their car seats they were elevated and better able to breath thus being better able to sleep. Another good reason that we decided to go is because our friend Leslie, who lives in New York, met us there with her kids (she goes back to New York Monday), so we got to spend some time with them. Miah-4, Isaac-2 (Leslie's kids), and Jack were having a good time playing in the cart. All three were in one cart! After we got in the car to leave. Jack says this "Mom that was fun!" I wish that the Symes lived closer. Jack had lots of fun playing with Isaac and Miah. Hopefully someday soon they will!

I am really enjoying Jack being able to tell me like if he had fun or not. However it does make him seem a little older than I want to admit, and does prove that he is growing up.

Bubbles and Bumbo

We recently got Paige a Bumbo. She really enjoys being able to sit in it. We thought that we would give it a try in the bath tub. It kept floating and so it didn't work out so great. While Paige was in the tub, Jack kept putting bubbles on her head and his own head. They both are so fun and Paige just lights up when Jack plays with her. She really doesn't seem to care what Jack does to her when they play. (sometimes he tries to roll her around the room, but I usually stop it before he gets too carried awayed) She is always all smiles around Jack. They simply adore each other.

I laughed so hard!

Last Thursday, Aaron and I traveled down to Thanksgiving Point to see Brian Regan live. He is so funny. I have to admit that I snorted a few times. Seeing him live and in person makes some of his jokes way more funny. I think that he is kind of goofy looking. I think that if I saw him walking down the street and didn't know who he was I would expect jokes from him. We had a good time. Before the show we went out to dinner with our friends Ben and Heather and Ben's cousin and her husband to this hole in the wall place in Provo. It was Peruvian food and it was very good. We didn't buy our tickets with Ben and Heather. In fact we had no idea that they were going until the week before, when Heather was up in Logan seeing her sisters, two of which have new babies and decided to stop by and say hi. As she was leaving I mentioned that we would be down in her neck of the woods and maybe we could get together before the show that we have tickets to and she said sure but we are going to a show too at Thanksgiving Point and you can probably already guess how the conversation ended. So that is how we ended up seeing the show with them.
Funny story with the tickets though. So Meghan and Stephen came up to watch the kids. As we were leaving Aaron remembered to grab the tickets at the last minute. (the tickets were printed from online) So Aaron ran back into the house and grabbed a white envelope that had some tickets but he didn't check to look at them. You might be thinking uh oh and you should, but wait it gets better. After dinner we decided to drive to Thanksgiving Point in one car and not in our car. We get on the freeway and Aaron remembered that we forgot the tickets again and left them in our car. So we turn around, which wasn't quick or easy. We finally make it to the theater and we are about to the gate and I realized that we forgot the tickets again! Aaron ran back to the car and I waited for him at the gate. Our friends went in to get seats since it was open seating. When Aaron got back he is holding up two tickets and I realized right then and there that he had grabbed the wrong tickets. He had grabbed tickets to West States Movie Theater that he won at his work party. He didn't realize that it was a print off. We thought we were doomed. We asked the workers at the gate if there was anything we could do. They said that if we have our confirmation number then they could look it up. So we called Meghan and Stephen and had them get into my email and look it up. We got in and had a great time. We are so glad that Meghan and Stephen came up to Logan watch the kids, especially since Paige screamed for a good part of that time.

meet me at the fair

We decided to head on over the Cache County Fair this past Friday night. As soon as we walked in the entrance we saw a booth for pony rides. We asked Jack if he wanted to ride a pony and of course he said 'YES'. The pony that he got to ride was a really big pony, about the size of a horse and his name is Spike. Later when we asked Jack what the horse's name was he said 'Scott'! We sad well close it is Spike and so now any horses that he sees in pictures are all called Spike.

Jack on Spike pointing to me saying 'that's momma'

After taking a ride on Spike we walked around and looked at the other booths. When we got near the carny rides, Jack spotted them. We thought that he could ride one. As we were looking at all of the height requirement signs Jack was a few inches too short. So I thought oh well we tried. Then Aaron saw the ride workers letting kids on about Jack's same height, so we bought enough tickets for him to go one ride. I was a little nervous, but it seemed harmless.

Here is Jack before the ride started...

This is Jack after the first time around...

Here he is the second time around...

And Jack the third time around...
As soon as the ride was over and I got him out he wanted to go another ride. We laughed and said no.

Pretty Paige.
Her eyes are still changing colors, but in this picture they look green. I think that they will either be blue or green. She feel asleep at some point during our trip to the fair. She is always a good sport and just happy to be doing something with the family.

Bedtimes and Time Outs for Diego

My mom bought Jack and little Diego Beanie Baby and lately Jack has been putting Diego on time outs, which makes me laugh. But today Jack wrapped Diego up in his blanky, the same way I burrito Paige, then cradled Diego in his arms and carried him in the bedroom and Jack laid Diego on his bed and then said sound machine. I turn the sound machine on nap time and bed time and so Jack wanted the sound machine on for Deigo's nap. It was so cute.

Shoes that fit!

Paige ha such tiny feet. She also has a good collection of shoes going. She is about 5 months old and now fitting into the newborn shoes. I am so excited. She wore shoes for the first time to church last Sunday. The little pink ballet looking ones are for newborns but they fit my 5 months old. So hopefully the rest will fit her soon.

A muffin please!

Really it is a piece of cake but in the eyes of a two year old it is a muffin. The weekend that Paige was blessed we made cupcakes the night before, which were left on the counter. Since we had family visiting, Jack slept on the floor in our bedroom and I didn't think to keep the door shut. So the morning that Paige was blessed Jack got up and headed down stairs grabbed a cupcake off the counter and came back into our room, I sort of woke up and asked him what he was eating and he proudly said, "A muffin", still kind of half asleep I was really confused then it hit me that he snatched a cupcake. Aaron and I realized it at the same time and we both laughed. So the other day I made a carrot cake and he asked for a muffin. I gave him a piece of cake because who could resist that cute face.
